I travelled the world and I only have a handful of photos of myself because I HATED every single photo. My biggest regret is deleting most of them.
I would NEVER talk to my daughter the way my inner-critic talks to myself.
Beauty is more than body measurements, thigh gaps and cheekbones. It always has been.
But unfortunately, the world we live in constantly makes us question ourselves and this can severely lower our self-esteem!
How would your life be different if you knew that you were beautiful? If when you look in the mirror you only said words of love and kindness to yourself?
Rather than judging your appearance, pointing out your stomach rolls, and hating on yourself.
Having positive self-talk is so important, being kind to yourself when you would usually call yourself stupid or say you looked fat in a pair of jeans makes all the difference.
The negative effects from these words on your body and mind will change how you show up in your daily life, this then affects the people around you and the situations you find yourself in.
Would you say the same things you tell yourself to your best friend or daughter/son?
Changing your self-talk will fill you with confidence, reassurance and allow you to look at yourself and see the beauty that is usually so clouded.
It’s difficult to start with, but really try and work on this and create a daily habit of talking nicely to yourself. If you catch your inner-critic saying something nasty, counteract it with one nice comment.
Say it out loud to yourself!
I want you to take some time today, to be kind and send yourself love. Try and look at yourself and see the beauty that other people see in you, allow it, be open to it and most importantly BELIEVE IT.
Say goodbye to the self-hate. Love yourself more than you ever have before.
