Chocolate Porridge. Perfect for an energy boost before or after our Workouts.
Serves: 2 Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
60g Porridge Oats
2 Dates , stoned
300ml milk
1/2 Tablespoon Cacao/Cocoa Powder
Pinch of Salt
Optional nuts for those who are exercising
Method
Throw the dates and 30g of oats into a blender or food processor. Blend until a nice thick paste. You may need to add a splash of milk.
Next, on a low-medium heat, put the mixture into a saucepan and throw in the rest of the oats, 250ml milk, the cacao and a pinch of salt. Stir well.
Stir the porridge for 8mins, but not continuously - just until it’s nice and creamy.
Depending on how you like it, add a splash more milk.
If you are exercising, enjoy with a small sprinkle of nuts on top.
