Chinese Fakeaway

20 Minute Chinese Fakeaway. You'll never order a takeout Chinese again, this is all you need! Lighter on your time, wallet and waist - but heavy on flavour and deliciousness.

Serves: 4 Time: 20 minutes


 

Ingredients

  • 3 Chicken Breasts, cut into cubes

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

  • 2 Tablespoons Cornflour

  • 50g Rice per person, dry weight

For The Sauce

  • 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons Honey

  • 1 Teaspoon Grated Ginger

  • 1 Garlic Clove, minced

  • 1 Teaspoon Chilli Sauce (optional)

Optional Ingredients

  • Spring Onions, sliced for garnish

  • 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds


Method

  1. In a large bowl combine the ingredients for the sauce and mix well.

  2. In another bowl, combine the cubed chicken, cornflour and a pinch of salt and pepper.

  3. Heat a large pan over a high heat, add a tablespoon of oil and add the chicken to the pan. Stir fry for around 5 minutes.

  4. Add the sauce and continue to cook until the sauce is nice and sticky.

  5. Heat your rice according to the pack instructions.

  6. Serve the chicken and sauce over a bed of rice and sprinkle with chopped spring onions and sesame seeds.
